My name is Cindy, and I am a mom of 2 young adult children.  I have been married to my husband Lewis for 32 years.  We live on Long Island in a modest house with our 2 dogs, Rupert and Marley (they will appear again and again in this website). Also my sister's dog Ripley will featured throughout this website! Marley is the website's mascot, seen above working at the computer.

I was a stay at home mom for many years, and have not formally been in the workplace since the early 1990s. That being said, my husband & I have modest investments and we got burned very badly by advice given by financial advisers in the tech crash after Y2K. That was largely due to the fact that we had absolutely no idea what we were investing in, and put all our trust into so-called experts.

I believe knowledge-- facts about just about any subject in life-- can make a huge impact in how we do just about anything.  So it is with this basic idea that I am trying to educate anyone who wants to log in and learn about making money work for their future.  I will NOT be telling you what to buy & sell, but hope that with some basic building blocks that anyone can learn about where to invest money, how to plan for the future, and what their risk tolerance is as well. I plan to learn as I write as well, so this can be an ever expanding and always friendly resource for investing!
